From serving out of The Backyard Bar & Grill in downtown to running a food truck at Barnett’s, Anthony’s dedication paid off with a stellar 4.8-star rating and a thriving catering business. Now, that dream is materializing at 417 N. Lacy Dr., and the excitement is palpable. ‘It’s wild,’ Anthony admits, his heart racing every time he drives by the new spot. ‘It’s a dream come true.’ The restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor seating, with a unique twist: guests will be able to watch Anthony work his magic as soon as they walk in. ‘BBQing is great,’ he says, ‘but connecting with guests is my passion.’

Co-owner Ashley Daniel explains that while they’ve secured the building, startup costs have created a bottleneck. ‘We’ve poured everything into Broken G,’ she says, ‘but we need that final push from the community to open our doors in January.’
